Wang Weichen Meeting With Nataliya from Polish Embassy in China

On November 22, Wang Weichen, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee in DUFL, met with Ms. Nataliya, Director of the Science and Education Division of the Polish Embassy in China.

Deputy Secretary Wang extended a warm welcome to Ms. Nataliya and gave a detailed introduction to the Polish major of DUFL. First, Deputy Secretary Wang said that the “Belt and Road” Initiative and the China-Central and Eastern Europe “16+1 Cooperation” mechanism has provided an opportunity for the establishment of the Polish major and also provided universities with guidance for serving the national strategy and the local economy.Second, Deputy Secretary Wang also pointed out that DUFL attaches great importance to improving the level of international education and has established inter-school exchanges and cooperation with Jagiellonian University and Opole University in Poland in a bid to contribute to the development of relationship between China and Poland and provide brain force for all the fields of cooperation between China and Poland. Finally, Deputy Secretary Wang hopes that the Polish Embassy in China will provide more opportunities and funding for student exchanges and faculty construction,and he sincerely welcomed Polish students to come and study at DUFL.

Ms. Nataliya highly appreciated the hospitality of DUFL and approved the planning, design, and faculty etc. of the Polish major.Ms. Nataliya said that the Polish Embassy in China attaches great importance to the construction and development of Polish major. With the increasing exchanges between China and Poland, Poland needs a large number of language talents in the fields of outbound tourism, education and business. This visit is not only aimed to establish mutual connections, but also to explore opportunities for international exchanges and cooperation, construction of teaching resources, professional teacher training, etc. so as to promote the steady development of Polish majors.

After the talk, Ms. Nataliya had a close exchange with the Polish teachers and students and discussed the future prospects, construction points and cooperation possibilities of the Polish major. Finally, Ms. Nataliya was invited to participate in the first Polish Culture Week activity
